The Cancer Society of New Zealand is committed to working with our communities by providing leadership and advocacy in cancer control, with core services in health promotion, support, information and resources, also research.

Join them for two hours this Daffodil Day and help to give people living with cancer the support they need by ensuring that no one goes through cancer alone! Their street appeal wouldn't be possible without the help of their amazing volunteers. Each year, the Cancer Society requires about 8,000 volunteers to ensure Daffodil Day is a success.

In this role you will be:

  • Standing/sitting outside with another (at a location of your choice)

  • Collect for 2 hours on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 August 2026

  • Greeting members of the public with a smile

  • Be the public face of the Cancer Society

Volunteers will gain:

  • Pre event information/orientation will be provided, a vest and all collection resources will be supplied

  • The knowledge that they are assisting Cancer Society to continue to provide its valued community services
