Laundry Pod Volunteer - Orange Sky

Laundry Pod Volunteer - Orange Sky
Organisation
Orange Sky Aotearoa
Summary
Love a good chat? Have a few spare hours a week or fortnight? Looking to give back to your community? Support people in your community by providing access to free laundry, and non-judgmental and genuine conversation!
Description
Join Orange Sky Aotearoa in their mission to Positively Connect Communities. They don't have all the answers to homelessness, but what they can provide is free clean laundry and genuine conversation to those doing it tough.
As an Orange Sky (OS) volunteer, you will help ensure our friends are greeted by an awesome group of volunteers, providing safe and reliable free laundry services, and engage in genuine and positive conversations with friends, service providers and other volunteers.
They are looking for amazing volunteers to help make a difference for around 3 hours every week / fortnight on Thursday or Saturday mornings.
“Our laundry pods are static, standalone structures that remain at one location for an extended period of time. This means we can provide extended services to communities where we know there is high need and demand and we can recruit local volunteers. They are equipped with two washing machines, two dryers and of course - six orange chairs.” - Orange Sky website
We will be launching this shift at the end of April 2026.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with your local community and make a practical difference in people’s lives
