Purpose
Providing English home tutoring and settlement support to adult immigrants or former refugees
Description
Provide English lessons to former refugees and immigrants.
We will train you to work alongside learners, so you can provide them with the language skills and confidence necessary to integrate and participate in Kiwi life and culture.
Usually the tutor meets with a learner in the learner's home although any other safe place may be used.Work with an adult immigrant or former refugee learner giving regular help
Assist adult learners to participate in their community

Training:
Day 1: Saturday 28th February 2026 - 9am to 3pm
Day 2: Saturday 7th March 2026 - 9am to 3pm
Day 3: Saturday 14th March 2026 - 9am to 3pm
Day 4: Saturday 21st March 2026 - 9am to 3pm
Time commitment
As a tutor, you'll spend 1-2 hours a week to help a former refugee or migrant learn English and gain the skills and confidence to settle well in Aotearoa.
