Description
Valley Cycle Workshop is a volunteer run, self funded community bike workshop aiming to recycle bicycles, help people gain bicycle ownership/maintenance skills and give them help to work on their bikes using proper tools with technical advice and support.
Volunteers at Valley Cycle Workhops:
build, strip and repair bicycles
assist the public with any bike issues they have
learn useful bicycle repair skills that they can use for life.
Long time volunteers (3 months plus) will get to choose a bike to refurbish and take home.
Requirements
Outgoing and able to communicate well with people from all walks of life.
At least 16 years of age.
Experience not essential, learn as you go.
Time commitment
The Valley Cycle Workshop is open 2 days a week - Tuesday afternoons 3:30pm - 5:30pm and Saturday mornings 9:30am - 12:30pm.
