Purpose
Social engagement and meaningful activity are essential to a healthy, happy life, no matter what your age. Club Enliven is a vibrant day programme for individuals aged 65 and over, offering a variety of social activities such as baking, crafts, gentle exercise, music, indoor games, guest entertainers, and outings. Each session includes morning and afternoon tea, as well as a two-course lunch.

Description
Volunteer Role:
As a Wednesday Helper, you'll play a vital role in:
Assisting with the preparation and service of morning and afternoon tea
Delivering pre-plated lunches to participants
Supporting staff with activity facilitation
Ensuring participants are comfortable and engaged
Providing companionship and fostering a welcoming environment

Requirements
Ideally you are someone who is:
Friendly, reliable and able to work as part of a team.
Approachable and open minded.
Ability to perform light physical tasks such as bending, raking, sweeping.
Good balance and able to walk around uneven surfaces.
No previous gardening experience required, though it is a plus!
Time commitment
Wednesdays | 9:45 AM – 3:30 PM
Volunteers can assist for the full session or choose a part-day shift: 9:45 AM – 12:45 PM or 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Background Check
Presbyterian support Otago often work with vulnerable people. All volunteers are police vetted.
