Visitor Host - Dunedin Gasworks Museum

Visitor Host - Dunedin Gasworks Museum
Organisation
Description
The Dunedin Gasworks Museum is a small industrial history museum based on the site of New Zealand's oldest gasworks, in South Dunedin. As one of only a handful of preserved gasworks museums in the world, it is a site of significant local and world heritage.
The Museum is entirely volunteer-run, and opening hours are limited to 12 - 4pm on Sundays. They also run regular live steaming days and blacksmithing classes.
Become an important part of keeping Dunedin's history alive by welcoming visitors to the Museum and sometimes showing small groups around the site.
As a Visitor Host you will be:
Opening up the Museum so it is ready for visitors
Meeting and greeting visitors
Collecting donations
Introducing visitors to the Museum and providing a brief history of the gasworks
Showing small groups of visitors around the site (if a Tour Guide is not available)
Light cleaning
Closing the Museum at the end of the day
