To improve community wellbeing by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer.
Description
The Cancer Society of New Zealand is committed to working with our communities by providing leadership and advocacy in cancer control, with core services in health promotion, support, information and resources, also research.
Join them at the Relay for Life (2 May 2026), a community event at the Forsyth Barr Stadium to celebrate survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and fight back against cancer by raising life-saving funds for the Cancer Society.
These are the roles still needing some help:
Tent Site Marshalls 7.30am -10am Saturday 2 May
Directing cars to park and unload safely
Will have site plans to direct teams to correct sites
Checking teams have tent up correctly
Help move gear to sites as required
Event Pack Out 10pm-11.30pm approx. Saturday 2 May
Pack down help as required
Pack down Cancer Society area and items into kits
Take down marquees, take down signage and track items
Rubbish and recycling to bins provided
Resources returned to Cancer Society trailer kits
Time commitment
