Purpose
The main focus of Insight Endometriosis is to raise awareness of this disease and the treatments/regimes that can assist people to cope, and to support and empower people when they seek out help and treatment. This role particularly helps deliver Insight Endometriosis resources to local medical centres. A flexible role (2–3 hrs/month) suited to someone with great time management and people skills.
Description
Volunteers and are a huge benefit to the endometriosis community through the time they offer.
The Printed Information Deliverer supports Insight Endometriosis by distributing printed resources to medical centres and practices in their local area. This independent, flexible role takes around 2–3 hours each month and fits around the volunteer’s own schedule. Volunteers will connect with healthcare providers during business hours throughout Dunedin.
Requirements
Volunteers should have the following experience:
Comfortable talking to people
Skilled at managing their time
Skills and Personal qualities:
Honest and reliable
Able to maintain clear, timely records
Confident communicating with people from a range of backgrounds
Ability to maintain relationships
Time commitment
Approximately 2–3 hours per month, depending on location. Scheduled flexibly to suit the volunteer’s availability and within the opening hours of local medical centres.
