Are you a clear communicator with a compassionate heart and a love for helping others succeed? Become a Volunteer Reader/Writer and play a vital role in supporting students who require special assessment conditions to fully demonstrate their knowledge and skills.
In this role, you’ll:
🔹 Read written materials aloud in a calm, clear, and encouraging manner
🔹 Accurately record students’ spoken responses during assessments
🔹 Create a safe, supportive, and positive environment where students can thrive
🔹 Gain hands-on experience that’s meaningful, impactful, and valued
You’ll receive brief but thorough training to help you feel confident and prepared. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in education, equity, or hands-on volunteer experience that truly matters.

Requirements
Excellent reading and writing skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, a compassionate and empathetic nature, reliability and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality, the ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively.
Police vetting required.
Time commitment
Flexible commitment, during school hours (9 AM - 3 PM). 1-3 hours at a time.
