Purpose

To support the delivery of Orientation Information Seminars for new international students, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed as they begin their journey at Otago.

Description

As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in welcoming new students and assisting with seminar logistics. Tasks include:

• Helping with the declaration process

• Giving directions and handing out information

• Answering questions

• Assisting with ID checks and document delivery

Full training and ongoing support will be provided by the International Office team.

Requirements

• We’re looking for friendly, positive, and outgoing students who enjoy meeting new people and supporting others.

Time commitment

• Training: Friday 13 February, 11:00 am (approx. 1.5 hours) at the Clocktower

• Seminars: Monday 16 February – Friday 20 February
  Each seminar lasts up to 2.5 hours, including setup. Volunteers should commit to a minimum of three seminars across the five days.
