Purpose
To support the delivery of Orientation Information Seminars for new international students, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed as they begin their journey at Otago.
Description
As a volunteer, you’ll play a key role in welcoming new students and assisting with seminar logistics. Tasks include:
Helping with the declaration process
Giving directions and handing out information
Answering questions
Assisting with ID checks and document delivery
Full training and ongoing support will be provided by the International Office team.

Requirements
We’re looking for friendly, positive, and outgoing students who enjoy meeting new people and supporting others.
Time commitment
Training: Friday 13 February, 11:00 am (approx. 1.5 hours) at the Clocktower
Seminars: Monday 16 February – Friday 20 February
Each seminar lasts up to 2.5 hours, including setup. Volunteers should commit to a minimum of three seminars across the five days.
