Description
Brave Minds is a wellbeing programme for primary and intermediate aged children. It was developed in-house and is offered to schools around the Dunedin area. There are 6-7 sessions per group focused on building resilience, confidence and emotional awareness.
As a Brave Minds Co-Facilitator you will:
assist with planning sessions and preparing activities.
co-facilitate group sessions.
contribute to the evaluation and feedback process.
Full training will be given.
You will gain experience with early intervention work, group facilitation, child engagement strategies, strengths-based approaches, behaviour management and providing ethical practice in a real world setting.
Be Heard offer a collaborative team environment and reflective supervision.π±π
Requirements
Comfortable working with primary school aged children.
Time commitment
Facilitators need to be available:
Every Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday during school term time from 9am until 12pm.
1pm every Wednesday for supervision which can be in person or online.
For training on the 14th, 15th and 16th of April.
Background check
Police check required - Working with vulnerable children.
