Grant and fundraising coordinator - Islington Early Childhood Centre

$0.00

Organisation

Islington Early Childhood Centre

Purpose

This position enables this boutique ECE Centre to punch above it's weight and makes dreams come true. Be part of the community spirit and contribute big time by applying for grants and help the Centre's fundraising projects.

Description

Islington Early Childhood Centre is a small non-for-profit independent Centre which provides childcare for tamariki ages 2-5 years old.

There will be specific projects and general funding shortfalls which need to be paid for by grants. The person will be working alongside the parent committee and kaiako to enable successful completion of projects.

There will be some training provided and the committee can give further support to enable the grant application process. Successful grant applications will make a huge impact on the Centre, the community and will enable the Centre to thrive. You will be able to make a huge difference to a dedicated group of parents, kaiako and the Islington community, adding to the excitement of dreams coming true. πŸŽ¨πŸ›πŸŒˆ

Requirements

🧩 This role would suit someone who is practical and can imagine the vision of the project.
πŸ“ Ideally you are someone who has experience in finding the relevant grants that suit the project as well as being able to write grants.
🍎 You will have a positive outlook on life and the energy to keep going even if some of the applications are unsuccessful.
πŸ™Œ This role would suit someone who is an independent worker but is also a good listener.
πŸ’‘This person will be an important team player for the successful realisation of projects which need a grant.

Time commitment

βŒ› This is a flexible, remote role that fits around your schedule. It’s most rewarding when a project is seen through from application to completion β€” whether it’s a major capital project like installing French doors and a deck, or smaller, ongoing initiatives. Some grants have fixed deadlines once or twice a year, while others accept applications year-round.

The previous volunteer found great satisfaction in securing multiple grants and witnessing the transformation of a new outdoor play space.
