Purpose
The South Dunedin Community Network connects people across the wider South Dunedin area to strengthen communities and help people use their voice to create a vibrant, resilient community and a safe future together.
Description
The Lowdown Community Newsletter is published four times a year and features local stories, upcoming community events, and news connecting South Dunedin locals with the support organisations, businesses, clubs and groups that service the community.
South Dunedin Community Network are looking for volunteers to help deliver The Lowdown to the mailboxes of South Dunedin residents in the suburbs of South Dunedin.
Current volunteers enjoy the excuse to put on their headphones and get active. Many of our deliverers go in pairs, enjoying an excuse to exercise and catch up at the same time.
Training
Induction and ongoing support
Requirements
Able to walk for 1+ hours at a leisurely rate
Time commitment
Flexible. Any day of the week! 1-2 hours per delivery route. You can choose to deliver to more than one route. Generally between 200 and 400 copies delivered per route.
