Purpose

Highview's mission is to provide all their residents with a safe, caring and supportive environment that is comfortable and enables residents to maintain their independence as much as possible. We are a culturally safe facility and understands differences and ensure these are respected and catered for to be best of our ability.

Description

If you're someone with a positive attitude who loves being part of a vibrant team and wants to share your passions, we’d love to hear from you! This volunteer role is all about creating joyful, memorable moments for our residents.

We're open to shaping this position around your unique interests and skills—it’ll look a little different for everyone. Some of the ways you might get involved include (but definitely aren't limited to):

• Reading with residents

• Joining van outings alongside our diversional therapist

• Sharing conversation and stories

• Helping create a community newsletter

• Gardening or baking together

• Getting creative with painting and art

• Leading gentle, age-appropriate exercise sessions

• Simply having fun and making someone’s day brighter

At its heart, this role is about connection. You'll have the chance to build meaningful relationships with an incredible group of people—and trust us, they’re pretty special.
