Street Appeal Donation Bucket Volunteer - Life Matters Suicide Prevention

Street Appeal Donation Bucket Volunteer - Life Matters Suicide Prevention
Organisation
Life Matters Suicide Prevention
Purpose
Life Matters is a non-profit, non-government funded, charity organisation with the intent of reducing suicide in Aotearoa.
Description
The annual street appeal for Life Matters Suicide Prevention Trust is on Friday 17 May 2025 and we are looking for volunteers to shake buckets around central Dunedin. We would really appreciate it if you could spare a couple of hours to help us on the day. This is a great opportunity to get out and about in the Ōtepoti community and engage in visible, meaningful kōrero around mental health. There are many different shift times and locations on the day so it can be easily worked around other commitments. Also, if you have a group of people in your life that would like to get amongst it and support a valuable community service, please let us know and we can group everyone together at one location.
As a small organisation with a big and powerful intention, fundraising initiatives like our street appeal are critical to ensure that we can continue to provide a safe place, peer support, and advocacy services (all free!) to those in mental distress.
When/Where
Friday 17 May 2025, pick your specific time and location when you sign up. Locations are across central Dunedin and time slots are a couple of hours.
