Purpose
Make-A-Wish NZ mission is to grant the wishes of children who have critical illnesses to give them hope, strength and joy. They believe that these wishes are transformational for the child and therefore all their work is based on positive psychology through the implementation of what they call the wish journey.
Description
Come and help Make-A-Wish NZ run their much loved annual Golf Fundraiser on Friday 22nd March. This fundraiser is made possible by the generous support from their sponsors and volunteers like you. They are looking for approximately 6-8 volunteers and extend this invitation to your family members and friends.
As an Events Supporter you will be:
Asked to wear the Make-A-Wish Polo shirt
Stationed at one of the holes on the golf course
Engaging with golfers in a friendly manner
During day shift: Receiving cash donations from the golfers using a container
During evening shift: Cash handling re raffle ticket sales at a table and for the auction
Overseeing the raffle
(Previous volunteers report that they have lots of fun- there is usually 10 - 14 volunteers present)

Many volunteers return year after year because they have such a great time
Buffet lunch catering is provided
You will be the public face of Make-A-Wish on the day, an organisation that helps to make the wishes of children with a critical illnesses come true

Requirements
Wear the Make-A-Wish Polo shirt
Ability to stand on your feet for at one of the golf-course holes
Receiving cash donations from golfers using a container
Overseeing the raffle
A friendly and helpful attitude
Basic counting and cash handling skills
Values that align with the Make-A-Wish mission
Time commitment

Date: Friday, 22nd March
Starting Time: Approximately 9-9:30am (exact timing to be confirmed closer to the date)
Finishing Time: Wraps up in the evening, but early departures can be accommodated if needed
Location: St Clair Golf Club - St Clair, Dunedin 9012
Clothing: Warm clothing might be needed depending on weather
Volunteers are asked to wear the Make-A-Wish Polo T-shirt
